Dr. Shivani Bajpai

Dr. Shivani Bajpai is a committed neonatologist with advanced training and robust clinical experience in managing critically ill neonates with congenital anomalies, extreme prematurity, and complex cardiopulmonary conditions. She earned her Post Doctoral Certificate in Neonatology from SGPGIMS, Lucknow, following her DNB Pediatrics from Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune, and MBBS from SVNGMC, Yavatmal.
With over three years of frontline neonatal ICU exposure at SGPGIMS, she has actively led care for high-risk newborns, including post-operative management of congenital diaphragmatic hernia, tracheoesophageal fistula, and congenital vein of Galen malformation. Dr. Bajpai was also part of the institute’s first EXIT procedure—a pioneering multidisciplinary surgical intervention at birth.
Her skill set includes advanced neonatal resuscitation, invasive ventilation including HFOV, surfactant therapy, central line placement, TPN preparation, and point-of-care diagnostics such as cranial and lung ultrasonography, bedside ECHO, thoracocentesis, paracentesis, and peritoneal dialysis. She has played key roles in neonatal transport, post-discharge neurodevelopmental follow-up, and departmental leadership, serving as chief resident and contributing to both administrative and academic activities.
Dr. Bajpai’s research work spans neonatal infectious diseases, perinatal immunology, congenital syndromes, and COVID-related neonatal challenges. Her publications in reputed journals highlight her contributions to low-cost innovations in PPE, smartphone usage in NICU, and case-based reporting in neonatal neurology and endocrinology. Her work has drawn recognition at national academic platforms, and she has collaborated widely with leading faculty across North India.
